Early Bird Circuit Training: Winter Session II

This camp will improve your overall fitness through a variety of high intensity circuits. The circuits will emphasis cardiovascular and muscular endurance, core strength and muscle toning. The circuits will be designed to incorporate all muscle groups in the body. Each day will be different and your body will be challenged and stressed in many ways. This can be achieved through varying the repetitions, the time and increasing the difficulty of the exercise/station.

This camp is open to adults of all ages and fitness levels. Each individual will work at their pace.

SESSION: March 5th - April 21st

CLASS TIMES: Mondays & Wednesdays (6:30am - 7:30am)

Saturdays (7:00am - 8:00am)

 

OPTION 1: Three Class Per Week (Full Package)

Includes:

- 21 Classes (Participating in all three classes each week)

- Each Class is 1 hour

- Total Cost: $150.00 (taxes included)

 

OPTION 2: Two Classes Per Week  (Half Package)

Includes:

- 14 Classes (Participating in no more than two classes each week)

- Each Class is 1 hour

- Total Cost: $100.00 (taxes included)

- If participants attend more than 14 classes, a $10.00 fee will apply for every additional class attended!

Adult Yoga: Winter Session II

Join Sandy Lund, Tuesday evenings, for a gentle Yoga Flow class. Using breathing techniques, yoga postures and the wisdom of this ancient practice, she will help bring space and ease back into your body. LET GO of your day and RELEASE into this flow as you invite a true sense of calmness and well being within. Sandy walked into her first class as a student 12 years ago and understood it's rich gifts right away. She took her 200 hour teacher training course with Breathing Space four years ago and considers it a blessing to be able to pass this on to others.

SESSION: March 20th - April 24th

CLASS TIMES: Tuesdays (7:00pm - 8:00pm)

COST: $60.00 (taxes included)

Adult/ Senior Chair Yoga: Winter Session II

After a brilliant first fall session at the Waeg, chair yoga is back! Chair yoga involves gentle poses that are done either sitting in or standing beside a chair. This class is ideal for those with any previous injuries (i.e.: hip replacements, knee injuries, etc...) or limiting physical conditions (i.e.: back issues, arthritis, etc...), as adaptations are offered to accommodate everyone. The ability to lie or sit down on your yoga mat is definitely not a requirement for this class.

Mary Ann Walsh will be the instructor for this class. Mary Ann is a retired elementary school teacher who has a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification, a certification in Yoga for Seniors and currently teaches yoga at Chocolate Lake Recreation Center, Breathing Space Yoga and Halifax Yoga. Mary Ann lives with a spinal scoliosis and arthritis, giving her a special interest in offering adaptations so that yoga is available to everyone.

SESSION: March 5th - April 16th

NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES FROM MARCH 11, 2012 - MARCH 18,2012
